Maria Leonard Olsen, a 62-year-old attorney in Washington, D.C., and author of 50 After 50: Reframing the Next Chapter of Your Life, recently began selling her used designer clothing and accessories on the online marketplaces The RealReal and ThredUp. 

‘I love the idea of recycling and doing my part to care for the environment,’ she says. ‘Also, I no longer need designer clothing and want to reduce the amount of things my children have to go through when I am gone.’”
