Becoming a Digital Nomad in Midlife (My Piece for Travel + Leisure Magazine)
Enjoyed writing about my experiences joining digital nomad groups. Travel as a digital nomad for months at a time has greatly enriched my life post-50. As my friend Tatjana (who I met on a month-long digital nomad program in Buenos Aires) said in her quote for this article: "I wanted to linger long enough to know the local bakery that sells out by 9 a.m., long enough to feel a place’s actual pulse, instead of just its postcard version.” Me, too.
Another favorite excerpt from the piece: “If you can work remotely or are retired and want someone to handle the details while you explore this beautiful planet, consider joining a digital nomad group. It’s your invitation to a community of like-minded wanderers who want to balance traveling and getting some work done abroad.”
